Soil is the foundation of our lives. It supports essential ecosystem services, such as the provision of food through agriculture, energy and raw materials, carbon sequestration, water purification, nutrient regulation, biodiversity preservation and pest control, to name but a few.
Illustration on healthy soils for the Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS). It is the European Commission’s primary source of results from the projects funded by the EU’s framework programmes for research and innovation. The illustration will be the cover of the magazine of Cordis of april 2021. The magazine is published in 27 languages.
